The need for continuous heart monitoring is large and growing

Cardiovascular disease patients need short & long-term cardiac monitoring, in the ICU and beyond. Currently, there is no solution that can directly, accurately, safely, and continuously monitor cardiac output. The market urgently needs a practical, affordable, and non-invasive option. It is our mission to address this significant unmet need.

Passion for Technology, a Heart for People

As a spin-off from both imec and the Catholic University of Leuven’s Medical Imaging Center, we benefit from cutting-edge technology and research support. Leveraging the combined expertise of these partners, we have developed a breakthrough in cardiac monitoring. Current market solutions are often invasive, relying on catheters that must be inserted into the patient’s body, which is only feasible in an ICU setting. The alternative is a handheld ultrasound probe, but that can only be used briefly and doesn’t allow for ongoing monitoring. Other continuous and non-invasive systems use indirect measurements and, therefore, typically have issues with providing accurate results. Our patch provides continuous, accurate, and non-invasive cardiac performance monitoring, offering peace of mind for both patients and physicians.

Our mission: monitoring cardiac performance
anywhere, anytime

Our ultimate goal is to develop smart, non-invasive, and wireless devices for accurate, continuous monitoring of vital body functions. This breakthrough will create new opportunities for monitoring in both hospital and home settings. Our wearable ultrasound patches will enable 24/7 tracking during all activities, such as walking, sitting, and sleeping. They will capture critical performance data and wirelessly transmit it, ensuring timely intervention when needed.

“Wearable ultrasound systems hold great promise for transforming health care.”
