Ultrasound cardiac monitoring

Our cardiac patch provides non-invasive and continuous cardiac output monitoring. A 3D shape of the Left Ventricle (LV) is reconstructed by means of multiple measurements using ultrasound technology. Based on the volumes of the LV at the End-Systolic and End-Diastolic phases of the heart cycle, parameters like Stroke Volume and Ejection Fraction can be computed.

The clinical parameters that are monitored are:

  • Cardiac output
  • End-systolic left ventricle volume
  • End-diastolic left ventricle volume
  • Stroke volume
  • Ejection fraction

And the long term trends of these parameters

Applications

ICU: Focus on critical but non-complex conditions

  • Shock (septic vs cardiogenic)
  • Sepsis
  • Single and Multiple Organ Failure
  • Fluid Management

CCU:

  • Weaning after cardiac event
  • Impact of drugs and treatment
  • Replacement of invasive methods

Set-up

The ICU cardiac patch (a single-patient patch that can be used for up to 7 days) is connected via a reusable connector cable to a patch companion device with a monitor, on which all critical cardiac data will be displayed.

Main features

  • Single-patient patch, usage up to 7 days
  • Reusable connector cable and Patch Companion Device
  • Continuous monitoring of cardiac parameters for up to 7 days
  • Integration with ECG monitor (not-included)
  • Integrated in the ICU system
  • Programmable alarms
  • No calibration needed
