Monitoring cardiac performance is
crucial for patients not only with
cardiovascular diseases but also with
various other conditions. Insufficient
blood delivery by the heart or its
inability to adapt to dynamic changes in
loading conditions poses a significant
risk. Continuous and precise cardiac
monitoring is essential to guide clinical
decisions and reduce patient risk.
The Pulsify Patch is the first
device to continuously and
directly monitor cardiac
performance. Our innovative
ultrasound sensor safely tracks
heart function, with a flexible
patch that can be worn on the
chest for hours or days, adapting
to each patient’s unique needs.
Many ICC and ICC patients suffer
from insufficient cardiac
performance: cardiac output, stroke
volume or the left ventricle’s ejection
fraction might be insufficient. This
situation needs to be monitored and
managed continuously. Our Pulsify
patch will capture critical cardiac data
and display it on the monitor in the
ICU/ICC.
Pulsify is a dynamic start-up born from the
collaboration between two world-class R&D
institutions: imec and KU Leuven. Leveraging the
combined expertise of these partners, we have
developed a breakthrough in non-invasive,
continuous cardiac monitoring.
